What we collect, why, and how long we keep it. Separate from the privacy consent you give a supplier during an application — that one is shown to you in full at the time and stored word for word with your answer.
Who we are
Terms Trading is operated in Australia. When a supplier uses Terms to open a trade account, we handle information on their behalf — they decide what is collected and what is done with it, and we process it for them.
What we collect from buyers
Business details you enter, the contact details of the people you name, the trade references you give, and a record of the signing: the time, your IP address, your browser, and what was shown on screen. That record is part of the agreement's evidence and is retained with it.
Checks we run
We look your ABN up against the Australian Business Register. We do not obtain credit reports unless the supplier's own terms say so and you have consented to it separately.
How long we keep it
Executed agreements and their evidence are retained for seven years, which is what makes them useful. Incomplete applications and the short-lived records around them — sessions, one-time codes — expire on their own.

Write to privacy@terms.trading to ask what we hold about you, or to correct it. If your information was collected by a supplier through Terms, we will pass the request to them.
