Terms of use
These cover your use of the Terms Trading service. They are not the terms of trade between a supplier and their customer — those are a separate document, maintained by a lawyer, and shown in full before anybody signs it.
What the service does
Terms collects credit applications, runs the supplier's own credit policy against them, produces a recommendation, and records the execution of an agreement.
What it does not do
Terms does not approve credit. Every decision is made by a person at the supplier, and the recommendation is advice they are free to ignore. Terms is not a credit reporting body, and nothing it produces is legal or financial advice.
The templates
The standard documents are maintained and reviewed by an Australian lawyer. Suppliers set variables — limits, payment terms, whether a guarantee is required — and do not edit clause text. Where a supplier's own document differs from the standard, Terms reports the difference; it does not tell them what the law makes of it.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running and will not pretend to a number we have not measured. Executed agreements and their evidence remain retrievable regardless.
